Ricoh wanted a hi-tech and environmentally responsible building from which it could serve the Waikato region. Hauraki worked with Ricoh to assess several buildings before settling on a 1960s panel-beating shop. It was a challenging project, as Ricoh wanted to reinforce its global sustainability approach to all its business. Energy conservation was paramount. Natural light, passive heating and cooling systems, and reusable materials, were incorporated. Hamilton, 2011
