After having their auckland eastern ambulance station and vehicle workshops located in Greenlane for 50 Years, St John decided to centralise operations at their Mt Wellington site. The new ambulance operations complex is New Zealand’s largest (16 ambulances) and includes a state-of-the-art vehicle service depot, environmentally friendly vehicle wash bays, and a new 111 emergency communications call centre. The new buildings were designed to be sympathetic to the existing administration buildings, while utilising contemporary building materials, and construction methods. Mt Wellington, Auckland, 2002
